Re-order displayed columns in Board View
I have already posted this as feedback - and now as a new ideaβ¦ In the new Board View, if I want to change the order of the columns displayed on my card, I have to de-select the columns up to the order number that I want to insert at, then re-select the same/additional columns in the exact order that I want to seeβ¦

Bi-Directional Cell Links
I wish there was a way to have bidirectional cell links, where the destination sheet picks whichever field was updated last. I have included a few posts I found (the latest dating back to 2020) requesting this enhancement.

Resource Manager Advanced Reporting Schedule
Would like the ability to edit the Advanced Reporting schedule in RM other than just from manual to automated. We need the ability to adjust the run schedule to different days and times and specify Time zone. I would have loved if there was a Glossary of Smartsheet terms (instead of having to Google them, one by one) back when I was in Training. Quick definitions of terms such as API, Workflow, Assets, Connectors, etc.

Resource Manager Advanced Report Field export selections
It would be nice to have the ability to select which fields we want to have exported to SS automatically vs. ALL of them. With the 500K size limit on sheet sizes and 68 columns of data getting saved automatically from the RM Advanced Reporting, we will be hitting size limits. Conditional Formatting / By User
Adding my thoughts here on Conditional Formatting. Not everyone likes to see "color coding"/conditional formatting on sheets. It would be a great feature to have Conditional Formatting settings by user just like filters. If I set it up only I can see it unless I check the box "Share Conditional Formatting".

Button for Automation Triggers
One deficiency Smartsheet has that could be solved is that out of the box application user experience. I think one way this could be solved is to have buttons that could be added to the sheet similar to excel macro buttons. Instead of a macro the button would fire an automation. I think perhaps a commands window could beβ¦

Add a "Strict" Option to Auto Number Columns
The situation is if a row is copied from one sheet to another, the Auto Number unique row ID coming from the source sheet will keep the same auto number on the target sheet. This results in duplicate Auto Numbers potentially, which causes duplicates in what should a column with unique values.

Use a URL shortener service to shorten a URL in a cell
It would be SO amazing to have the ability to choose a cell in my sheet that contains a URL and have Smartsheet create a shortened URL for me. I currently have to leave Smartsheet, navigate to Hootsuite, plug the URL in, click shorten, copy, navigate back to Smartsheet and copy the shortened URL into a cell. I know itβ¦
