Looking for the ability to create a nested if statement that evaluates certain criteria, however, because some of the criteria is a contact, there isn't currently a way to define a contact in Smartsheet apart from text. It would be great if we had a function that evaluates a cell as a contact.
Can Smartsheet port most of the functionality from Power Query? It would thrill me if two features I use all the time in Power Query could be added "remove blank rows" and "Use first Row as Headers" so I would never need to manually rename a column again. I'd also love if SmartSheet had the Choose Column, Go to Column…
When a row is locked manually or by automation, the sheet owner can allow specific people to edit each row by using the contact column. This column could be a "Locked Editing" access column. Who ever the sheet owner puts in the "Locked Editing" column of the locked row, shartsheet will allow them to edit the locked row.…
Would love to see an option within DocumentBuilder to map BOTH columns and rows so that more documents can be auto-generated based on form submissions (like a weekly update newsletter).
Would be nice to be able to nest groups inside of other groups for easier access administration for large organizations.
Just a minor request - When going on a report, sheet, etc. to have a tooltip when you hover over the icon next to the title to let people know what kind of information they're looking at. Sometimes people forget or don't know if they're looking at a report or a sheet so I think having this little tooltip to help people…
There are two things I miss about data in form management: 1 - A form could open another, already taking data. For example: I would like to be able to fill out a purchase order and, in the middle of the process, be able to insert a product into the database or a supplier, which was already linked to the original form.…
Have the option to 'File-> Save as Template' in a report or dashboard like you can do with a sheet.
In my project template we just put a role name in the "assign" column. Then once we start an actual project I'd like to assign people based on their role. Is there a way to designate that all rows assigned as "Designer 1" should now be "Jane Doe" without having to do this manually? Also is there a way to assign people…
For example, I just manually updated 120 projects in a Portfolio WorkApps to give a leader access to all the projects. It would be amazing if there was a way to instead create an API call to do these types of tedious tasks through programming.

We'd love it if we can have export of this Log from Control Center > Automation I was troubleshooting what went wrong on the Auto-provisioning of some of our projects and I found bunch of these error messages along with provisioning. When I look further there were more than 2 than what I was originally looking into… it'll…
Please bring back the "Open In Browse" feature in the workspace panel kebab menu. Only make "delete workspace" available to workspace owner. Smartsheet says that in the workspace panel, you can: create new items, rename items or workspace, favorite or remove items, share your workspace, and open in browse (see link). In…
Hello! My idea is to update the programming of the access request notifications so that it records the user who actually granted the access rather than always defaulting to the Owner. Back in March-ish of 2024, smartsheet made an update to where access request notifications are sent to all admin of a sheet, workspace,…
