I'm trying to take a spreadsheet and present it in a way that has one row for each category of item, and then multiple cells across that row to represent the emails sent in that category. This is a calendar of sorts. Each category would be associated with a color. (That's the part I have figured out.)
I saw Smartsheet's "Event Marketing Timeline Template," and I feel like that's close to what I'm looking for. The columns would be months, subdivided by weeks. There are no dependencies.
I can't figure out how to set it up in a Gantt view without having one row per date. I want one row per category, and then multiple items across that row by date.
Does that make sense?
I'd like to be able to enter the info in the grid view, then view it in the Gantt view.

Any advice is appreciated! I saw a Reddit from 3 years ago that said Microsoft Project was the way to do this, but I bet Smartsheet's a better option.
