Automated Email (Alert) Enhancements - rich text + cc recipients

In addition to being able to send alert emails with rich text formatting (bold, hyperlinking words, embedding images), and removing the source sheet link and "automatedmesssage" verbiage, it would be helpful to have the option to cc a recipient. I have a workflow for notifying an external party when a request is made, but I'd like the option to include additional recipients for awareness on a cc line, instead of including them on the main "To" line (to distinguish between a task/request vs awareness).

I agree! In addition, when you add the additional people that you would like to CC as recipients, you can't see who else has received the message. All alerts arrive as if you are the only one being notified which leads to wasteful unnecessary follow-up with other people.
