Alert Notfications Now Sending to Multiple Users

Hello,

We had a strange issue creep up late last week. On two of our sheets we have it configured to alert a user if their name is checked. It's been set up this way for years, but since Thursday of last week multiple users are getting alerts for actions unrelated to them.

For example, this morning user 1 was notified of 3 changes where user 3, 7, and 9 were checked but user 1 was not checked. Is there a new notifications feature that was recently added to smartsheet?

I went ahead and deleted all alerts and rebuilt them on both sheets, but the issue persists. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
