Alert Settings Across Templates

We have alerts set in a Template we created. Once we use the template, the alert settings go back to default. Is there any way to keep the settings across the sheets created with the templates instead of having to go back and change the permissions every time?

Hi Rae,

Unfortunately, it's not possible at the moment, and I think it's by design for security reasons, but I'd still recommend submitting an enhancement request.

Does the first screenshot attached help any? If not... Have you tried "Save as new..." instead of a template? The second screenshot will show additional options.

That's how we had the settings, and it did not work. Thank you for the input though. I did try checking a few different boxes.
