Archiving - Not Using Control Center

Some of our projects go on for a very long time. Each group has their own list of projects. We add status notes in the Comments. The status notes can get very long and cumbersome; however, they are very beneficial for the project history. My boss has asked to remove the status notes except for the current month and saved them. Does anyone have any suggestions for saving these notes and have them associated with the project task. I was trying to avoid having multiple smartsheets for each group.

Hi

There is a really simple solution to this which is free.

When you request a backup weekly from Smartsheet you get a Zip file with an excel spreadsheet in it. One tab is for comments which will record all your comments so that you can get at them in your Excel Archives when you need them. Just name them appropriately to make finding them easy.

You could park your excel sheets in Google Drive, Dropbox or Box and put a direct link to the excel sheet from the Live Smartsheet too.

Yes we could write you some API code or set you up with 3rd party app but why not Keep it simple?
