Blocking already selected dates in Smartsheet Forms

Hi All,

I have a smartsheet form setup to allow users to book events. I have added a calendar option in there to allow them to choose the date.

I would like to block/grey-out the dates which have already been chosen. Currently I see no option when editing the Form which would let me do that.

Is there a native way to achieve this? Or would I need some API integration? If so, can you share a document.

Hi,

Unfortunately, there isn't a way to do it in the form natively. There is some third-party options, but a possible workaround could be to utilize the new Dashboard Web Content Widget? You could have a dashboard show the calendar and form side by side.

Hi Andree,

Thank you for your reply. The Dashboard is not a way forward for us since the people we have to publish the form to, don't really have access to smartsheets.

Is there an API that can be leveraged to restrict the entries already present in the sheet?

Happy to help!

The people don't need to be users of Smartsheet to be able to see the dashboard so that could work if isn't that you want to keep it as a form only.

I don't know if something is possible with the API.
