Build overarching report on all changes made in Smartsheet

Hello-

 

As the admin, i'm looking for a simplistic way of viewing all changes made (not just by sheet owner or sent to) but to anyone who has editing privileges.

Can i create a single repot to view all changes made in Smartsheet (let's say) over the past week.

    Hello JK,

     

    Of course you have the 'Send me my Smartsheet daily mail' settings in the Account-Personal Settings. This will give you the the most recent 10 sheets which are updated.

     

    If that's not enough for you, I would suggest the following options, where 2 is my favorite:

    1. 1. Make a report, which contains all sheets. Then put on the highlight-changes option and set it to 'seven days'. You should however, every week consult this report to check all changes. Depending on how many sheets, this report could become very slow in start-up.
    2. 2. For every sheet, be sure to set Notifications (via the Alerts-tab) for every change every week. This way you will get a mail with detailed information about which data has been changed by who in which sheet.

     

    Even further detail can be found, by right-clicking the cell, and looking at the 'View History ...'

    To build on Maaiks suggestion,

     

    build a report that contains all your sheets and under the When? section add the Modified (Date) column to show all rows that were edited in the last x days. This can be used with Highlight Changes to see exactly what was changed. This will update each time you open the report.

    I don't think I want my admin person to know everything that changes.

    (and I used to be that admin person)

    Is there a purpose to this that I don't see?
