I have setup card view and can show the row number of the dependency but unable to view the details or title from the card view. Is there a way to view without having to switch back to card view?

    Hello PEZ,

It sounds like you are looking to view more details per-row while being in card view. You can adjust the visible columns on your cards by clicking on the gear icon in the top-right corner. In addition, if you double-click on a card, this will open up an editable window with all of your sheet’s columns.

Our Help Center article on Card Views is a great resource that may be useful for you, especially the section labeled "Working with Fields": https://help.smartsheet.com/learning-track/get-started/card-view.

Please let me know if I have misunderstood your question and I’d be happy to help further.

    Cheers,

    Genevieve

    Thank you.

To provide a little more clarity here is what I'm trying to do.

When in card view I can see that a card has a dependency because it shows what the row number is that a particular card (Task or activity) is dependent on. I'd like to know what the description is of that particular row number is without having to change the view and look up the particular row number.

    Please see attached screenshot.

    # 48 is the dependency row for this card. Is there a way to get the details of  row # 48 without having to change the view to grid view and looking at row # 48?

    Hi PEZ,

Thank you for clarifying! I understand now that you are looking to see the title of the row that the card is dependent on within each card, instead of just the number of that row. The Predecessor column only references number of the row as the title could change.

You could try copying the number of the row and manually adding that number as part of the name in your Primary column to visually see this in your card view, too. Using your image as an example, if the task "Review new and existing mitigations with Cloud Tech" appears on row 50, update the title to be: "50 - Review new and existing mitigations with Cloud Tech."

If you do this for each row, then whatever row #48 is will be identifiable in your Card view as the number 48 will be in the header, just ensure that the number you put in the title matches the row number in the sheet.

As a final note, please Submit and Enhancement Request so our Product Designers know this is a feature that you are looking for.

    Thank you!
