is there a way the color of boxes in the list view can automatically show in the gantt chart? i
it's very time consuming having to select each individual box in the gantt chart to match the colors in list view.

If there is a criteria in one of the cells that determines what color the gantt bar should be then you can use conditional formatting to color the gantt bar automatically.
