Report Based on Multi Select Dropdown Column

I have a master schedule that includes a multi select dropdown column for disciplines associated with each individual project. I need to create a report that shows all projects with multiple disciples selected. It needs to allow any combination of disciplines as long as there is more than one selected. Unless I'm missing something, this doesn't appear to be possible with the report builder. Is there a formula I could use to check a box in the source sheet when there are multiple disciples selected?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Cory,

Unfortunately, it's not possible at the moment without a so-called helper column in the sheet(s), but it's an excellent idea!

Please submit an Enhancement Request when you have a moment to have your vote added

You'd use the COUNTM function for the helper column to either count the options or to check a box if there's more than one option selected.

@coryg what did you end up doing? I am trying to do the same thing- be able to just search for one of the items in my multi-select drop down menu to add them up.

I just added a helper column with a formula that looks like this: =COUNTM(Discipline@row). That gives me a number of disciplines selected for each project. I then created a report that shows all projects where the helper column has a value that is greater than 1.

That may not be exactly what you are looking to do, but you could probably do something similar with a different function.
