Conditional Formatting based on system columns (Attachments and Comments)
I can't find any discussions on this.
I'm looking for conditional fomatting based on two of the three System columns: Attachments and Comments. These are not available today when trying to add conditional formating to a row.
For attachments, I would like the criteria based on:
- Changed: If the list of files has changed at all
- New: Only if a new file has been added
- Changed Existing: If a new version of a specific file has been uploaded
For Comments:
- Changed: If any new comments have been added
- Replied: If anybody has replied to a specific comment
Please consider this a request if this functionality is not available today.

Hi Stephane,
We currently don't have a way to create conditional formatting rules for the Attachments and Comments columns on the left of the sheet but I've got your vote down for this on our enhancement request list for further consideration.

I would like a feature like that. It would be nice if you could make the comment or attachement (or other system column) cell for a row, lets say red, if there is a comment. Sometimes i find a need to draw attention to a row with a comment. Without that comments can get lost. I'd be happy with just being able to fill the cell manually in the meantime.

This is becoming a dealbreaker for me. I have personally missed several comments because the speech bubble is not clear enough. This is mainly when I am searching through historic records and producing a report collating many sheets - I need to be able to clearly see which rows have comments.
The ability to use conditional formatting to highlight The bubble when comments have been added to a line is vital!
Please tell me it is being worked on...

For Comments on critical sheets, I have added a Zap (using www.zapier.com) that flags new comments or new replies to existing comments. Also can put those into columns for "most recent comments", only the last one for now.
It can not be used to capture edits to existing comments.

+1 Vote again. Conditional formulas on Attachment column for alert, update and approval requests if possible as well.
