1 Can I do conditional formating using more than one criteria (different Columns)

We track goals for residents and if the goal is not met within the required timeline I would like it to highlight the total in red.

is there a way to make 2 conditions for the same formatting rule? example if frequency is '30X/Month' and month column is <30, highlight red

If Frequency is '4X/month' and month Column is '<4' turn background red or highlight red

etc for 1X/Month

Hi Jason,

Yes, you can use an AND condition for the Conditional Formatting. Still, sometimes depending on the need, the criteria aren’t possible without using a so-called helper column and a formula.

Add a Condition

Click Conditional Formatting

in the toolbar to display the Conditional Formatting window.

Click the drop-down arrow
to the left of the rule in the Conditional Formatting window to view additional options.

To add more conditions to a rule, select Add Condition (AND).
This creates an “and” operator in the rule, indicating that multiple conditions must be met for the format to be applied.

And the answer to your second question is Yes. You can create as many Conditional Formatting rules as you want that contain the same format. The easiest way to do this if you are only changing one condition would be to set up the first one, clone it, then tweak it.
