Having different colours for forecasted work in resource view

Hello,

We are using smartsheet quite a bit now and need to highlight the difference between forecasted work and actual work in the resource view. I have seen previous questions on this saying it has been passed on to the development team.

How far away from having this implemented are we?
What levers can I pull to have this escalated and implemented quicker?
Should there be no easy fix to this what alternatives do I have to display, forecasted work, actual work and maintenance on an allocated resource?

There is another Smartsheet Solution/Integration, 10,000ft that can provide you with much more Resource Management features.

Is that an option?

Unfortunately this is not helpful. We have already built all our projects into smartsheet in great detail and simply want the resource tab to be enabled to allow us to select a different colour when it is a forecast or maintenance task so our sales teams know where to schedule work.

Please let me know, if this can be added?

Hi @Thomas Eager,

I second @Andrée Starå suggestion to look into 10.000ft and I have not heard about custom colors for type of work to come some time soon.

10.000ft will run in addition to your established Smartsheet solution and more or less replace the inbuilt resource view. So you would not have to move your projects into 10.000ft but customise 10.000ft and the views it provides to your needs.

I can think of manually built sheets and reports to also replace the inbuilt resource view, but this would require quite some effort.
