Is there a way to send announcements within smartsheet without notifying every user on a sheet?

We are wanting to see if there is a way to send out announcements within smartsheet. We use a sheet to capture audit requests that come in. We use one sheet for several locations since they are for the same type of audit, otherwise, we would be making hundreds of sheets every year. We would like to use smartsheet to announce to a team that a new request has come in without notifying the other users on the sheet. Is there a way to do this? Also, is there a way to communicate back and forth with those uses if they have questions and not notify everyone on the sheet?

Yes. You could either use Workflows with alerts and similar or/and the conversation by using @mention.

Thank you. I have tried the workflow before but, we need to change some items in the announcement each time. The @mention with the conversation seemed to work without notifying everyone. It looks like it acts a little like Microsoft Teams, which is what we use now for the announcement and conversations about a request. I think we can make this work may have to make our own subject line but I think it might work. THank you again.

You can add so-called helper columns for the items so they'd be dynamic.

Sorry not sure I follow. Smartsheet is still new to me. Can you point me in the right direction to find out how to do that?

You can add a column for the subject and then use the placeholder feature to include it in the message.
