Use cell formatting on new dashboard

I like the new design. But I can't seem to find the "Use cell format" button when adding data to the dashboard. Is it gone? Or is it me?

The new one show like this when added in the old version:

And when I add it in the new setup it only appears in white. Not like the source cell.

Any ideas?

The formatting button appears when you click on the data itself (versus in the panel on the right):
