Font size format does not display in Dynamic View

Answered - Pending Review

We have built a training request and tracking system for our employees in Smartsheet. Badges are displayed when an employee completes recommended training milestones. Since I could not discover how to display an image based on formulas, I used the sports medal emoji (🏅) and formatted the font size to 36 pts in the sheet. When I display the employee's metrics on a dashboard using a dynamic view, I cannot get the large emojis to display. I cannot use a report since I need the dashboard to filter the report for the current user. Am I missing something?

First image is from the sheet. Second image is the dynamic view on the dashboard.

I have clicked the dynamic view Show/Hide Formatting button multiple times.

First of all, what a cool thing to do! I love the idea of using emojis in Smartsheet.

Secondly, as you've found, Dynamic View has different functionality than sheets in the Smartsheet App - currently the formatting button can bring over certain elements, such as the background colour of a cell, but Dynamic View is unable to bring through bold text or sizing of text. Please submit an Enhancement Request for this type of formatting in Dynamic View when you have a moment!

This is one of the many differences between Dynamic View and the normal Smartsheet view that I would love to see updated. I love the ability to control what users see and update, but I really wish that DV would look and feel similar to the regular platform.

  • Is there any update on this feature? I am waiting for a long time?
