How do I hide the sidebar/shared with bar?

Is there anyway to hide the left sidebar or workspace shared to bar in this new update? I can't see the names of anything unless I zoom out from the entire window.

    Hi @Sydney Spratt

No, there currently isn't a way to hide these two areas from view when looking at a Workspace. You could adjust the column width to display more of your names in the initial view, or zoom out in your Browser (as you noted already).

Please let the Product team know about your experience with the new look and let them know about your feedback by filling in this form, here.

    Thank you!

  • I agree, I cannot see what I need to see (names of sheets) because everything else is cluttering up the page.

  • I second this request. The "Workspace Shared To" panel isn't needed very often, yet it's always present and takes up about a third of my screen space (see image)! Very annoying that I can't resize or collapse it.

Totally agree, did a feature request get submitted that we can vote up??

  • Fully agree with this request, Brian Curtis's screenshot perfectly illustrates the point. It's quick and easy to look up who the area is shared to (not that there's a regular need to do so), so there is truly no use for this 'shared to' panel. The problem is exacerbated by the fact that any dragging change you make to the centre panel columns are not saved, so it's extra clicking on every single use of the page . It's like having to fix something in the index of a book every time you open it.

(The sharing column in the centre panel is also pretty redundant, because instead of seeing the people, you always see the first word "Workspace", due to the lack of space )

Please please get this request through to development a.s.a.p. !

  • Also fully agree with this request. Freeing up space increases work efficiency. Thanks for addressing.

  • I couldn't agree more!!!

Yes, please! There are only two of us in our company so I know good and well who my workspace is shared with. Yet this pane takes up 1/3 of my screen and every time I toggle between screens I need to resize just so I can see everything I ACTUALLY want to see!

  • Agreed, it would be greatly appreciated to be able to collapse or hide the "Shared To" panel as it's not always necessary to be able to view, and obstructs our view of the critical information, regularly.

  • +1.

I can't read any of the workspace names without performing pixel gymnastics because the screen is dominated by useless information.
