I am trying to do a COUNTIFS formula in the summary field. II can get it to work with COUNTIF, however COUNTIFS returns an error (Unparseable).

I am trying to get a count from two columns in the sheet to calculate in a summary field

Column 1 - Status
Column 2 - Unique
I wrote =COUNTIFS(Status:Status, ="Open",(Unque:Unique, ="Unique")

To add to Jeff's excellent advice/answer.

COUNTIFS works fine with Summary fields as well.

Can you describe your process in more detail and maybe share the sheet(s)/copies of the sheet(s) or some screenshots? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help. (share too, andree@workbold.com)

Try your formula with these modifications.

=COUNTIFS(Status:Status, "Open", Unque:Unique, "Unique")

Thanks for the information, unfortunately still errors.

I am unsure whether COUNTIFS works with summary fields.

Jeff M, your answer worked, the following day. Considering that I was copy and pasting, I have no answer why I couldn't get it to work at the time, unless the sheet froze?

In any case, I went back to it the following day, re-pasted what you had sent and voila, success.

Again, appreciate the amazing knowledge available in this community.
