new project using the control center: the move / copy rows have to point to new sheets created

I am recently started working on the Control Center.

In my blueprint, there is 2 Automation workflows 11 "Copy Row into Payroll Sheet" + 12 "Copy Row into Invoice Sheet". So the Condition is if the tickets are good task is checked then the row moved to the to either or both sheets its 11 sheets that do both and one only does one sheet.

But when I create a new project using the control center then in this workflow the destination sheet is selected from the blueprint folder, not from the newly created folder, so I have to manually select the sheet which may cause issues in the future.

This is very frustrating, please fix this Smartsheet.

This is technically an idea to change how folders are copied.... (similar to how cross sheet references automatically change to copied sheets).

I believe the intention is to update the target sheet in a copy/move row automation to the newly created sheet when a new project is provisioned. Currently when you provision a project with control center is does not update the target sheets for copy or move row within an automation.

I have the same issue. We deploy a lot of projects and the process of manually going in and changing the workflows is very frustrating.

  • i understand. Our system does our weekly work flow with invoicing, payroll calculations, and weekly work. It has 84 objects as of now i will have to change 25 work flows weekly.

This is needed to maintain trends for a changing project. I want to copy the project summary line to a Project History sheet so we can graph trends in earned variance for costs and schedule.

  • We absolutely need this ability in Control Center. Without this functionality, the ability to use Move or Copy row automations within any projects provisioned by control center is effectively eliminated. It isn't sustainable to go into each asset in the newly provisioned project and update the destination sheet for every Move/Copy automation.
