I don't have an estimated timeline for when this update may be available, but yes, this is a request that Smartsheet is actively looking into as part of a long-term plan.

This seems like a major pain point that should be a priority to fix. I have resorted to pasting screen shots into a word file and converting to pdf, which feels silly.
This is just a plain, flat out, bug. Not excuse for this being part of a long-term plan. It is a bug. Fix it.
Please develop! I thought WYSIWYG was a concept that took hold in the tech industry in the 80's, at least? But here I have something on my screen that evaporates when I attempt to print. So why create the grouping feature?

+1. This is impacting me sending reports as automated recurring emails. It's adding to, instead of removing from, my workload.
The "Put it in a dashboard and print that" workaround also isn't working now (and hasn't for at least 3weeks). This now results in multiple pages at different scales and lots of white space in between pages for no clear reason. I've also resorted to screen grabs and pasting in to Word.
I've now lost interest, and don't believe it'll ever be resolved. It's a shame. To have this bug outstanding for 2+ years is pathetic.

Is there any update on the status of this? Having to create a dashboard in addition to a report to be able to print/save as a PDF is a pain - extra steps that should not be needed. Thank you.
When I have a report and utilize Group and Summary, when I print or export to a PDF, I lose that formatting. The pdf is just the rows of the sheet. I would like to be able to export a PDF that includes the groups as I see it on the screen.
Until Smartsheet offers accessibility-friendly dashboard design, we offer users reports as an alternative. We are limited to offer users even a basic report without the feature to print with groupings.
+1, this would be extremely helpful even from an exporting perspective. We have project categories as our groupings, but of course those disappear when sending via email so the end user only sees a mish-mash of projects in a weird order. Please add this functionality for us!
I would like to be able to export a report to PDF or Print with formatting as shown in Smartsheet. Currently when exporting (per smartsheet tech) there is no way to do this other than taking screenshots. Current export consolidates the data back to original format.
