Hi @Molly Yang
I hope you're well and safe!
You could use cross-sheet formulas combined with either a VLOOKUP or INDEX/MATCH structure to connect the sheets, and when you update the source sheet, it will reflect on the destination sheet.
Another option would be to use so-called helper sheets. In short, copy the row to a helper sheet and then use my method described previously to get the values you need to another helper sheet and then copy/move the row from that sheet to the main destination sheet.
Would that work/help?
I hope that helps!
Be safe, and have a fantastic week!

@Molly Yang If you don't to Sam's point above need attachments on the row and have a unique identifier per row (like an audit number) you might consider DataMesh!
@Danielle Wilson If you got time, I would like to share my work, I don't believe the mentioned functions could solve the problem. Thank you so much.
@Andrée Starå thanks, unfortunately, this is not going to solve the issues, my workflow is different. thanks
Ok. Happy to help!
@Molly Yang I'd recommend reaching out to your account team to discuss options or booking a Pro Desk to discuss options & DataMesh, if you have Pro Desk on your account!
This would be very helpful! I am currently working on converting a huge file over from Excel to Smartsheet. Due to Smartsheet sheet size constraints I have to be creative with multiple sheets now. Allowing columns to copy over to another sheet without having to copy the entire row would help so much!
I am requesting the ability to create an automation where you can copy a single cell to a new sheet. Currently there is an automation to copy an entire row to another sheet however this is not helpful if the sheet structure is not the same.
Can it be made possible to move certain columns of a row instead of the whole row, i.e., if I had 10 rows with data columns A, B, C, D and I wanted to move just column A & D from all rows to another sheet.
Hope this makes sense?
@VLD Yes you could do that with DataMesh if each row had a unique identifier
@Danielle Wilson Thank you, I do not have the necessary access, but it is good to know there is this tool. I will keep this in mind and see if I can get this made available to me within my business.
Here's a possible workaround or workarounds
@Andrée Starå thanks, I have only just found INDEX and am using that. It was INDEX that made me think there must be another way and now I know there is. Thank you again and I will try your suggestion.
Happy to help!

Currently I use the automations to copy or move rows when the trigger is met, however in a lot of cases, not all of the columns are needed. It would be helpful in the automation, you can choose which columns you want to move or copy instead of having to copy / move the entire row of information.

The forms approval template should allow approvers to easily capture a reason for declining or approving a request, as the current 'workarounds' are not refined enough to support a fairly normal task. I have tried to append the workflow to include data from the 'a comment' field, but the automated responses are 'messy' and…
Can I run a WorkApps User Access List Report? I'd like it to include: Name of User User E-mail Address Name of WorkApp Access Name of Dashboard Access Roles This would really help manage who and how we share our WorkApps. Thank you, Sean
When adding a cross-sheet reference and selecting a column, the range should auto-name itself as opposed to being "GENERIC SHEET NAME 1" - I don't love having to click into the naming field to update (especially when I'm adding ~60+ cross-sheet references). It's monotonous. When I click "enter/return" after selecting and…
