Current User Report on Dashboard - NOT SHARED

Today if you are using a Current User Report on a Dashboard you have to be shared to the source sheet.
If I don't want people to see the data, there is no easy solution. Please allow the current user report to work by filtering in for view on the dashboard, not source data.
Dynamic View doesn't have all the features of a Report so this does not fix the issue. Also on the mobile app, it displays as a link.

Nope unironically I originally used Dynamic View on a workapp but it's lacking features. I rather have it on a Dashboard in workapp BUT Dynamic View doesn't have the grouping, and auto counting/Sum like Reports do. Also on a dashboard on mobile Dynamic view only shows up as a link. I can't win.
With all options, I can get 90% there but not 100%

Running into this now. Would love to be able to have the option from a report to bypass the need for source sheet permissions.
I'm trying to build a proof-of-concept dashboard that shows where the current user is within a process, but they can't have permission to the source sheet with commingled data. Functionally works, but only with the source sheet permissions.... Bummer!

I want to be able to create a chart on a dashboard that shows a user data that is specific to them without having to share the underlying report and sheets.
