Dynamic View Logic should behave like Conditional Form Logic (aka "live")

Would be a game changer if conditional logic was allowed/worked in Dynamic Views. I am asking people to review a LOT of data, but a lot of fields are empty because I can't 'hide' / condition out fields they don't need to see in Dynamic View.

Echo'ing a lot of other comments here- the "field logic" in Dynamic View is not useful for us either unless it can work similarly to conditional logic as people are updating fields.

Smartsheet Developers - the existing 'logic' is pretty useless (and is far from Dynamic!) if it isnt triggered real time as the user inputs values. Whats the expectation, that the user saves each time they enter a value for the logic to be triggered?? That's far from practical. This needs to work as per standard record intake forms.

How is this not fixed after multiple years?!? The conditional logic is not really that at all. Answer > click save > see if there is anything else for your fill out? Awful.

Dynamic View should work the same as Forms logic in the source sheet. All of the options and logic should be available.

Conditional logic would be a game changer here. Dynamic View's potential would be much enhanced with this feature.

This issue is causing major problems for our group. Without it, I'm looking into users clicking on a form to get the benefit of conditional formatting, then feeding that value back into the original sheet.

Can you provide an update as you recommended users come here to seek that? There are 100 votes, which seems like many to me given that this tool is a premium. Most users won't even know about it, but those of us who pay for it have to work around it.

Does Smartsheet still use this ideas and feature requests system?

I just participated in a call today where this limitation was noted as a blocker to a project. It's so unintuitive to have a different way of managing the UI in DynamicView vs. forms that the team and I overlooked this in our fit analysis.

Yes, these Product Ideas are still the best place to voice your scenarios and requests, and yes! These posts are reviewed by the Product team.

For this specific Idea, the yellow status bar on page 1 has the status: changing the logic functionality in Dynamic View is not currently on the Roadmap. The best way for you to help the Product team understand why this is important for you is if you can explain in detail how this feature would benefit your current processes, or why the lack of this feature is blocking you.

One suggestion for now could be to use a Smartsheet Form as an intake form, leveraging the Conditional Logic functionality, then having the form send the user to the Dynamic View after submission.
