Any automated alert that references a row should have a hyperlink to the row referenced. There is currently only a hyperlink to the entire page.
This should be possible as row links are available in row properties, so the metadata is there to leverage.
Please make it happen Smartsheet!
Before the recent cosmetic changes made to Smartsheet email alerts, there was a row number referenced for any row being alerted on. After the changes, this row referenced was removed, so there's no way to find the row within the sheet unless you Ctrl + F information from the alert.
Having a way for the person being alerted to navigate to the row referenced is a pretty basic feature that I'm pretty surprised doesn't exist in any form!
When automation emails are received for a new comment/attachment, it would be great to also include a link to that row specifically. This way, you can click directly to that row to view/respond/update and not have to search through the full sheet to find the update.
Commenting to boost.
When email automations are received, the user has a link just to that sheet and then has to navigate to find the right row, comment, attachment, etc. There should be a way to set up the email automation so that a link to the row is provided. It would save time if the user can click and be directly sent to that exact row to review/respond.
Hi all,
This is available! The row number next to the row included in the alert is a hyperlink that will direct you to the correct row:
Cheers,
Genevieve
