Project Plan formulas into new columns

I've been asked if there is a way to have the same functionality/formulas found in project plan columns (Start/Finish/Duration/Predecessors) into new columns.

Basically, the project manager would like to set the initial project plan columns as the baseline, then add additional columns for projection and then more for actuals with all the built in calculations found in the original template.

I looked but these formulas are "hidden" and therefore unable to be reproduced.  I was able to create the formula for calculating the duration between the Projected Start and Finish dates but when I change either of the dates the remainder of the plan projected dates stay the same and don't recalculate.

Is this even a possibility?

    Hello,

The formulas used in the dependency columns (Start/Finish/Duration/Predecessors) are built into the system and therefore cannot be replicated. You are doing the right thing by using formulas but you will want to enter formulas for each row and columns since they will not automate like dependency columns do.

The dates change automatically in dependency columns only when predecessor values are listed in the predecessor column. Since you will not be able to replicate the built-in predecessor function in other columns, you will not be abe to bulk update the dates after changing one date.

But you can submit an enhancement request for this functionality here so it can be considered by our development team for future implementations.

    Kind Regards,
