Offline Access Please oh Please....

Hello,

I see that there are many other threads requesting this feature but nothing recently from Smartsheet staff saying whether or not this request is being taken seriously. Does anyone know if there are any plans at all for this to be added in the future?

Not being offline is a major issue for us as we go to places often that do not have service and trying to convince a client to give you their home wifi password when you just met them is not cool.

It would be great to be able to start a new sheet from a saved template offline and work on it completely offline then have it sync once back to service.

Hi Paul,

As you know, Smartsheet is currently an entirely online-based service.

When you have a moment, please submit a Product Enhancement Request (using the form under Quick links on the right of the community site) to let our Product team know that you'd like to have an offline feature added to Smartsheet.

I will be travelling on a 9 hour flight and having offline access to Smartsheets would help me be super productive. The suggested workflow to copy and paste from Excel is not an option. The room for error and time wasted is too big. Really need the offline access option. I also can see how it would be problematic....

I've just signed up for the trial, but realising that people have been asking for offline access for 4 years with no implementation does not bode well. Offline is crucial for me so I'll be cancelling my account before I even get to complete the trial.

Without offline access, I cannot do my work.

Unfortunately, it's not possible at the moment, but it's a great idea!

Please submit an Enhancement Request when you have a moment.

I can think of a few ways to solve this. Can you tell me more about the process and what kind of information you need to work with?

They have this new offline version of SmartSheets called Excel. Think it came out in the 1990s. But yes, in all seriousness, if they made it a stand alone suite that could be run without internet connection, even if they keep it in a Web UI, and than let it update the data base file structure when you plug in. At least do so for pages that you don't share access on where there is no concern about version management.

Great idea!

To have offline access to everything that isn't shared and be able to create new sheets, reports and more would be amazing.
