COUNTIF between Dates (Children) || Summary

I have a formula that is troubling me.

I am trying count between two date ranges so I can count the number of shows due (between a set date ranges or set to count only the next 14 days).

The forumla below is returning zero. Is it the forumnla or a setting?

The screen cap below is the from the sheet I am using, hopfully it helps as a reference.

COUNTIFS(CHILDREN([Final Approval Date]8), @cell >= DATE(2018, 10, 1), CHILDREN([Final Approval Date]11), @cell < DATE(2018, 10, 31))

A few things to check/change... Go ahead and remove the @cell references, make sure the Final Approval Date column is formatted as a date type column, and double check your CHILDREN references. It doesn't look like row 11 has any children rows.

The formula works!

I can now count between two specific dates using the Countifs formula.

=COUNTIFS(CHILDREN([Final Approval Date]8), @cell >= DATE(2018, 10, 1), CHILDREN([Final Approval Date]8), @cell <= DATE(2018, 10, 31))
