Hi,

I am new user and was wondering if anyone can help. I have created a template which has questions users have to answer. I need to send this out to 100s of users and will need to do this annually. Is there a way to use the template to create multiple sheets which can be assigned to multiple users. I need each person to have their own sheet so they do not overwrite other peoples answers. Also is there a way to automated it to create the same sheets every year?

Thanks

Depending on what membership level you are you may not be able to create hundreds of Smartsheets.  You could instead set up one Smartsheet and then create a webform for that sheet to send to the users.  Once the webform is submitted their answers will be populated into one Smartsheet.

I have the enterprise version. i should be able to create that many. I tried using the webform and it seems i will have to add each question as a seperate column

I agree the best way would be to use a web form. Yes, each question will require a new column, but once it is set up, no further action is required. You can use the same sheet and send the same web form out each year. If you create a sheet for the hundreds of users, then you have to keep track of all of those. To see each response, you will need to open up hundreds of sheets which can take a lot of time. You would also need to share the hundreds of sheets with the users so they have access. That alone will take quite a bit of time.

    Thanks

    few more questions

On the form is there a way to save the form in the middle and come back to it?

Is there a way to add attachment in more than one place. It seems if i add the attachment option once to a question i can not add an attachment to other questions

Yes you can save the form in the middle and come back to it.  As for adding attachments if you are adding attachments while in a sheet then you can add multiple attachments to each row by clicking on the paper clip icon to the left of the row.

og I see what you are talking about. If you are actually filling out the webform then no you can not save and come back. I was thinking you were in editing mode.
