Is there something on the Smartsheet Roadmap to be able to select multiple items from a Drop Down column in the similar way we can select multiple contacts in a Contact List column?

Hi,

They've said they are working on it but not when it will be finished

As possible a workaround, you could use the contact column in the meantime.
