Embeding forms into a dashboard that is part of a Control Center Template Folder

Hi,

I'm finding difficulties when trying to embed a form into a dashboard that is part of a template folder for control center. Due to the fact that this form is embeded through a link, the form keeps it's original destination sheet when a project gets provisioned and the new dashboard gets created. In other words, submissions go to the template log instead of the newly created log.

Has someone found a workaround for this?

Thanks in advance

    Hi Pedro,

Nice to see you again (we met at Engage). When embedding the form using it's link, there isn't currently a way to have the Dashboard create a new link to use through Control Center. When the new log gets generated, a form on that sheet would have it's own unique URL.

The best practice currently is to use a dummy URL (such as www.smartsheet.com) and then manually update the form link after the project has been provisioned.

You might also consider putting a Notification on the Provisioned Column of your Intake sheet that is triggered when that box get checked. It could be something like, "Your project has been provisioned, don't forget to set the web content widget for your Form." Something like that would help a bit.

I've passed along your feedback to our Product Team regarding this for consideration in a future release. You can also submit your own feedback using the link in the right sidebar.

    Thanks!

    Ian

+1 to this enhancement.. If we could write the form link to a column of the intake, and a link in the profile data (just like the ProjectLink), then all of the workflow kickoff for approvals and resource assignment could truly be part of the Automation process.

Just wondering if there has been any movement on this.. hundreds of projects - more than a few forms - getting more grey hairs.
