Enhancement Request: WYSIWYG for cell display

I want to be able to display a cell using WYSIWYG, especially in how the display deals with leading spaces.

This request has also be posted to the Product Enhancement Request form, along with a video.

I do NOT mean Rich Text, that is a different issue (one to which I am mildly opposed)

Functionality: Formatting

I'm old enough to smile when I see "WYSIWYG".  But I'm still counting my time with smartsheet in months, .... can you outline a case where this feature is useful to you?  I'm sure it is an excellent request, I'm just interested to know how I would also be able to leverage this feature (if/when available).  Thanks!

    Use Case 1:

    Programming code snippet (indentation matters)

    Use Case 2:

Directory tree more visually appealing with spaces.

    I have two work-arounds:

Use underscores or periods like this

    ______A line

    ............Another line

or use a screen capture instead of text. The main draw back to an image is that unlike word wrap, it is a pain to resize for visually showing or hiding.
