Forms add data to location in spreadsheet that is out of order
When a Form is filled out the data is being put on row 50 something when the rest of my data ends on row 10. How can I reset the page so the next entry populates on roll 11?

Hi,
Try deleting the rows that are empty from row 11-50.
Did it work?
Have a fantastic week!

it works but the next form submitted populates down near the bottom again.

That's strange!
I'd be happy to take a look!
Can you maybe share the sheet(s) or some screenshots? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help. (share too, andree@getdone.se)

Hi,
I have the same problem :/ Any suggestions on what's the problem and how to solve it?
Right now I'm using the trial version as I want to show my boss the Smartsheet potential. I'm familiar with the tool already and I did not experience this kind of issue in the past.
Best regards,

I hope you're well and safe!
Try deleting all rows that are empty below the last submission that was in the correct place.
Did that work/help?
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic week!

Yes, that helped. Thank you.
Is it a bug or a feature? ;)
-
Excellent!
You're more than welcome!
Haha! It's neither. It's by design. Even though the rows might look empty, there can still be information that activated them.

With respect Andree (if you are still around since 6/21) I cannot view simply deleting rows as you describe as a good solution.
If one deletes everything past the last submission that was in the correct place, then one is typically also deleting all the formatting involved with all those following rows, and doing so after starting with templates that are provided for download from the Smartsheets site. AND, that is part of the problem. The template I downloaded proceeded to skip ten rows down the intake sheet from the very first form input right off the bat upon my very first submission I made. So this problem is imbedded in the Smartsheet templates being offered for download as it happens immediately with no other changes to the Smartsheet templates of any kind.
I have observed the same behavior from two different project templates I downloaded to try out. If there is no better solution than delete all the rows, Smartsheets should fix these templates being offered to us users so they work without skipping a bunch a rows upon first use.
Best,
Barry
