How to automate the predecessor?

Is there a way to automate the predecessor column? I don't want to manually enter each number.

Template with Dynamic view and Control Center
One of our templates relies on dyanmic view. Will the settings for Dynamic View stay in place when new project is created? All projects are created using Control Center. I've already searched in the Community, looked a articles, and learning.
