Hi! I love Smartsheet but I can't seem to find a way to do the following:

After a user submits a Smartsheet web form entry to populate my sheet with data, I'd like to embed a hyperlink into both (if possible) the response and email confirmation so that the user is directed to a web page on my site for next steps/instructions. This is useful because that information may be updated frequently. Putting it into the form definition means changing it in two places.

I tried the usual CLICK HERE FOR NEXT STEPS but it didn't work. The actual hyperlink does appear as a clickable link but I want to hide the URL within a friendly text.

Any ideas? :)

Hi and thanks for the reply. That would shorten the URL but wouldn't allow me to really create a user friend text to hide it behind. Also, my company would prefer we didn't use a 3rd party for redirection. The URL in question is on our intranet (I should probably have mentioned that! ) cheeky

If you go into the form options when building it, you can have it redirect to a specific URL upon submission. You may also be able to set up an alert type of workflow. that includes the URL. Maybe have it in a cell in each row and include that cell in the alert?

Hi. Thanks for the reply. That would work if I was trying to redirect every time. What I am really trying to do is give them a confirmation message that says:

"Thanks for your request. We are working on it. If you have any questions or would like to know what the next steps are, please click the link below"

I may have to simply redirect them there as a matter of process if I can't find a way to embed a url within a friendly text and hide the ugly, lengthy address :)
