How to Set My Weekly Update Request Form to Blank Cells before the Weekly Update Request?

Hello,

I would like for this form to go completely blank on ALL cell-rows before the update request gets sent to the collaborators (not licensed users) every week. I already have the update request set to send every Friday at 9AM to request the form to be filled by the list of collaborators. I just want to make sure the collaborators receive a blank form to update (to prevent confusion).

Please advise? I am not sure if I am supposed to use a formula or if there's another way I can have a clean sheet form for the collaborators to fill.

The next step would be ideally be, "IF the collaborators DO NOT fill the form sheet by a certain date, then we will assume the collaborators are BUSY, and their designated rows would appear as busy." So if they are NOT busy then they are required to update their designated row on the form.

Please advise?

Someone else may have a more elegant solution. But I think the only way to do this without the API would be to create a workflow that sent all the lines to another dummy sheet on a repeating schedule. You'd have to periodically go in and clear out the dummy sheet. But at least your form would be clean.

This would also have the added bonus of archiving past entries, if that was useful.

I'm thinking that it maybe could work with the Move Row feature as well.

The issue with using Move Row is that it will cancel the Update request. You would need to go in every week and set up the update request after the automated move row occurs in which case it is going to be easier to just manually go into the sheet and clear the data weekly.

I would suggest a form instead of an update request. You could then use a basic formula in a checkbox column on the sheet populated by the form to denote the most recent entries and have that column drive pulling those rows for a report.
