Hyperlinks to other sheets not showing

Hi,

anyone experienced this?

I have a master sheet with a column that contains all the hyperlinks to the subsidiary sheets. The links have gone overnight! Cell history shows they were updated by a cell link user, but the cells aren't linked....

The link still exists if you double click on a cell it shows the correct link AND the correct text. If I copy and paste the display text back in again then it fixes it. But it's a pain to do this for 100 lines...

Anyone experienced this?

    Hi,

    Yes I am having the exact same problem.   I don't have a solution, I have logged a support ticket with Smartsheet.

    The hyperlinks reappeared by clicking in the field and hitting enter. We saved them and all seemed fine, but they have disappeared again!

    Hi Janine,

    any response from your ticket yet?

    the ones i recreate do seem to disappear again, as you've experienced...

    Looking at cell history, it say's that "Cell Link User" is overwriting them with a blank...

    It is exactly the same issue.  I have heard nothing from Smartsheet.

    Same issue this morning.  All lines deleted at 8:01 PM (EDT) on 05/30/17 by blank "Cell Link User."

    Went through and clicked "Add Hyperlink" to each, and the original text was restored.

    5 minutes later, the sheet is newly blank.  The cell history shows where I restored the links, and then blank "Cell Link User" erased it again.

    Hi all,

    I've double-clicked and hit enter for all my (100 odd) links before lunch.

    They all still appear to be there, hopefully they'll stay...

    ...It'd be nice to know what the issue is though. I've also logged a ticket.

    They've all disappeared again!

    Had a reply from Lex @ support.

    Usual stuff about logging off, clearing cache etc.

    Link's still gone, but as it's also affecting all our other company users trying to view this sheet, and it's also a problem for you lot, that wasn't supprising.

    I have had contact from Smartsheet support, they told me to clear my cache, however I have suggested that this cannot be the answer (it is affecting all Smartsheet users here and we have hundreds), but they have not replied.  I have escalated to account manager at Smartsheet and I have a pre planned call with them at 3pm (BST).  So I will get an answer today.  I will keep you updated.

    Same here. Why hasn't this been communicated to users? Here we are thinking we've done something wrong. Ours specifically say it's a change made by a coworker, but now viewing this thread I realize our issue is the same in that any cell that included a hyperlink has now gone blank. What the heck! SO many cells to have to refill!!!!!!

    Hi All—

    Apologies for any inconveniences this issues is causing to your work. Our Development team is aware of this issue and is actively working on a fix.

    I'll update my reply in this thread once I find out any new information on this issue.

    UPDATE: Through testing, we've found that any sheets containing inbound links (blue arrow in the cell) are affected—even if hyperlinks are also not displaying correctly. One quick fix is to make any change to the outbound links (grey arrow) that link out to that broken sheet. This refreshes the sheet and should fix the issue with both cell links and hyperlinks.

    UPDATE 2: Due to the intermittent nature of this issue, we'd like to get more information. Please Contact our Support team and provide them with the sheets that you've noticed have been affected; whether this is cell links, hyperlinks, or both; as well as what you've tried (if anything) to fix the issue.

    UPDATE 3: Made a slight change to my original update on the quick fix for this.

    UPDATE 4: It appears that most normal workflow activity in Smartsheet is causing the cell links to refresh on their own and display correctly. Remember, anything that would normally trigger a save on the other side of that incorrectly displaying link will fix this. You may not need to manually go through all of your sheets and implement this fix.

    I'm having the same issue. Your work around will not work for me as the cells that have the links and are showing empty are used elsewhere and when you close the sheet, the other sheet that need the data from those cells shows N/A.

    When will this be resolved?
