Keyboard Shortcuts (Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V) vs. Right Click Menu Options between Excel and Smartsheet

I've noticed that utilizing keyboard shortcuts (ctrl+c, ctrl+v) provides the needed copy and paste results between Excel and Smartsheet, while using the Right Click mouse method does not.  Is there a particular reason for this?  Did I miss this instruction somewhere?

Thanks.

I used to run into this issue frequently. I think I finally have it figured out. When you are in Smartsheet and do a right-click-copy the data saved is in the Smartsheet environment (within the browser tab you are in). If you then switch to Excel and do right-click-paste it pastes the last thing you copied while in Excel. It works (maybe I should say doesn't work) the same going from Excel to Smartsheet using the right-click method.

When you do ctrl+c the data goes into the OS (Mac or PC) copy bin (not associated with any particular running application) and then when you go to another application and use ctrl+v, it pastes that data into it.

So, when you want to copy-paste between applications (Excel to Smartsheet in a Chrome tab for example i either direction) you need to go through the OS via ctrl+c and ctrl+v.
