"Move to Another Sheet" Changed?

Has the "move to another sheet" functionality changed?  In the past, it has always copied the rows to the chosen sheet and deleted them from the source sheet.  I have tried it three times this morning and managed to copy them three times to the designated sheet and they still remain in the source sheet.  And yes, I am sure I chose "move" and not "copy".

    Hi André,

The move row to another sheet functionality hasn't changed. When you move rows, Smartsheet first copies the rows to the destination sheet, then deletes the original rows from the source sheet. It's possible that on the backend, the process is timing out when Smartsheet attempts to delete the rows from the source sheet.

Try saving just before doing the move row action, or moving fewer rows at a time. See if this occurs on multiple sheets as well.

If you still get this issue regardless of how many rows you move, reach out to support@smartsheet.com so they can troubleshoot further with you.

Hmmm ... very odd.  All day yesterday, the rows I tried to move to another sheet remained in the source sheet.  Today, I boot up and they are mysteriously gone.  Shaine, did you move them during the night just to make me think I'm losing my mind?

    Hi...uh...the other André,

I didn't move your rows on the backend (nor do we as Smartsheet employees have the ability to see or move your data). It may have been a temporary delay, or you may have had Smartsheet open in multiple browser sessions—which isn't currently supported.

Contact support@smartsheet.com if this issue happens again in Smartsheet. (I think for issues pertaining to your sanity will need to be directed elsewhere.)
