Multiple dropdown list driven by previous choices

How would you set up a dropdown list that is driven by the selection in a previous list.

Example: column one has ten property's to choose from, column two is a list of locations specific to the property that was chosen in column one. Chosing a different property in column one changes the list to choose from in column two.

Would eventually want this to go a few layers deeper, column 1 choice drives the available choices in column 2, the choice in 2 then drives available choices in 3 and so on...

    Joe,

This functionality is not available in Smartsheet.  the only way round would be to have a dropdown column for every option and the use Conditional formatting to highlight the cell in the appropriate column to make the selection from not too bad if you only have a couple of options but for what you are looking for not realistic.

You could possibly achieve this by using Appsheet or using google forms with Conditional branching (not the best option).

Sorry I cannot provide a better option.

Hi All—We don't yet have this functionality in the application; however, Google forms are a great workaround for this, and they integrate with Smartsheet: https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/1850129-smartsheet-sync-add-on-for-google-forms

I've got your vote down for a dynamic dropdown list option on our enhancement request list for further consideration.
