New notification feature doesn't send an email to all the users specified

Options

I set up a new customized notification yesterday and set up the email delivery for myself and 3 other colleagues.  However, I was the only person to receive the notification email this morning. Did I do something wrong or is this a programming issue?

I have included a screen capture of the notification set up.

Thanks.

    Hi Pasquale,

For people to receive notifications, they must be shared on the sheet, and have logged in to Smartsheet at least once so their email addresses get validated. Make sure that your colleagues have taken those steps.

If you're positive that they have done that already, please reach out to our Suppor team for further troubleshooting: https://help.smartsheet.com/contact

Is it possible to validate the email addresses another way? I'm providing my company with a published card view. I do not want them going into the actual sheet, only the published card view where they can view and add comments to tickets etc.

Is there a way, as the admin, that I can validate the email addresses of non-licensed users? I'm using this particular sheet as a support ticket queue and I have alerts/notifications sent out whenever a comment is left in the ticket. The ticket submitter would then get the alert and go to the published card view of the queue to update with more comments.

    Hello—

There isn't a workaround for this behavior or a way to personally validate an email address.

When I speak of validation, I'm referring to Smartsheet as an application making sure that the email address receiving an Alert email is connected to someone with an active account that is involved with sheet in some way by being shared to it.

We use this method to validate an email address in order to deter Smartsheet from being used as an email spam/email blast application. For the same reason, we don't allow people to personally validate an email address.

To receive Alerts (Notifications and Reminders), you must have an active Smartsheet account, have signed in at least once, and be shared on the sheet.

Thanks Shaine. Are collaborators with a login and password considered having an "active Smartsheet account"? In other words can non-licensed users receive email alerts/notifications?
