New tabbing organization for many summary levels

When I have 5+ levels of hierarchy in the tabbing, the tabbing doesn't seem to suffice to show organization and I cannot understand the hierarchy from just viewing the tabs I have tried using highlights but I have too many sections and subsections to have distinct highlight colors.

My solution is to make brackets on the left, to the left or right of the "at risk" column, that open at the summary and close at the end of the contents associated with the summary as shown in the attached image.

    Thanks for this tip.

I wasn't sure if you had a specific question or suggestion here. If the suggestion is that at 5 or more levels of hierarchy it's hard to distinguish the relationships, that sounds like a potential feature request. If that's the case, please do use the Submit Product Enhancement Request form to submit that request to the Smartsheet product team.

It also sounds as if you've also explored formatting to help—if you haven't yet tried automatic formatting, that's another option to consider. Here's a resource for that:

Apply Formatting Automatically with Conditional Formatting Rules

Thanks for taking the time to discuss this. Maybe others in the community will chime in with additional ideas for making a sheet with complex hierarchy easier to read.
