New UI - Multiple Tabs Option Gone

I used to fly through Smartsheet when I had multiple tabs open.  Now that the feature is gone, I feel like I'm moving sluggishly and awkwardly.  I'm constantly building dashboards and have multiple sources, reports, and other in flux.  Not a fan of the new layout!!

So to the Smartsheet folks - are you hearing similar feedback?  If so, any plans to allow for multiple tabs again?

I had a similar problem, but now I just open up about 10 browser tabs first thing. My bigger sheets are much quicker now so I do actually find it easier. It's a pain having to physically open them though, rather than having it 'remember' what you had left open the night before. Maybe the solution would be that we had the option to choose which way we'd prefer it to work...?

    Hi Michelle,

    It's easier since yesterday's update.

You can now right click or middle click (or similar) in more places to open in new tabs.

    Hope that helps!

    Have a fantastic day!

    Hi:

Unfortunately this doesn't work as well as tabs. Recently Opened items is a relationship based on time and for one user and not a relationship in between various sheets. In my environment tabs that are related to each other as parts of a logical set of data such as the fields defined in related objects. I want anyone who accesses the main sheet to see the related sheets and have access to them. Just allowing me to setup my view will not be adequate. Is there no way to do this? I have a lot of Excel/Quip sheets that I want to convert to Smartsheets and I currently don't see a reasonable way to do this.

    -Thanks

    Hi @Gary Sanders,

Unfortunately, it's not possible at the moment, but it's an excellent idea!

Please submit an Enhancement Request when you have a moment

As a possible workaround, would be to use Workspaces, Folders or Dashboards to collect the items together.

    Make sense?

    Would that work/help?

Be safe and have a fantastic week!
