Hi Team,

We would love to be able to publish sights!  This would be an amazing feature for us. We work closely with partners and leverage smartsheet to do so and often use the publish feature. We are working with sights more and more and would love to be able to leverage those with our patners!

I concur. I would like to both PUBLISH Sights and be able to make a Sight my SS Startup page.

To be able to publish sights would seem like a basic feature to me. You spend all this time creating a beautiful sight and then you can't publish it! Considering you have to pay quite a bit extra to use Sights in the first place.

Look forward to the feature being added.

Any update on when Sites will be able to be published and / or is this something that is currently being worked towards?

    Thanks!

    Hi Jesse,

We are beginning development of Sights Publish soon, and as of now I would estimate a Q3 delivery. (We'll have a better idea of the specific ship date once the work is underway.) In the meantime, we're continuing to release enhancements to Sights every month. Thanks for checking!

Sights is great and has huge potential, but missing a publishing option seems very short sighted.   There needs to be seamless access ( including web publish ) to Sights or else it's use suddenly becomes limited.

    +1 for publishing sights!

    Hi Kent,

Thanks for your feedback! We're currently tracking to release Sights Publish in early August, so stay tuned.

Thank you Daniel for the update.

Anxious to be able to publish sights.  Have created 3 sights in anticipation.  I would like to confirm my understanding of these publications.  Anyone that we give access to the publication URL will be able to see the sight and the reports contained within (which are also URL links) even though they may not have access to smartsheet.  Is that correct?  The sights will be for users outside of the company (Customers).

    Hi Sue,

    Thanks for the question.

First, I wanted to update you that we're currently tracking for September to ship Sight Publish rather than August. We periodically adjust our schedule to deliver the most value for customers as efficiently as possible, and for this reason we decided to ship some other important Sights enhancements in August, followed by Publish.

You are correct that anyone viewing the published Sight will have the exact same view of the Sight, even if they don't have a Smartsheet account. If you want all users to be able to follow widget links to other sheets/reports, you'll want to publish those sheets/reports as well and paste their publish links as URLs in the widgets using the "Go to URL" interaction. (If you used the "Open the source report" or "Open a Smartsheet item" interaction, the viewer would need to have that report shared to them & log into Smartsheet to view it.)

Hope this helps -- let us know if you have follow-up questions.

Awe, shoot.  I had published the reports that are on the sight, and did use the go to action for them.  So I am just waiting on the publishing feature.   So I will wait until September, but will be very anxious until then :)

Thanks and thanks for the great service that your team provides.  We love Smartsheet.

Daniel, this is great news. Please provide an early September or late September time frame as we have a Google site that is being rolled out in early September and we would love to put this on a splash page for the Google site.

    Hi Jill,

Thanks for checking in. We're still tracking for a September release for Sight Publish, and it would be in the middle of the month (9/14 timeframe). Just to set expectations, we won't be certain until closer to the release, but I would give it 75% certainty at this point. I hope this helps!

    Best regards,

    Daniel

Hi Daniel!  Well, it is September and I am doing my monthly report for August.  May I still report that the option to publish the sight is still on target for 9/14?

    Please say yes!
