Row print

I can't find a discussion that covers this:

I know there's a way to print a single row with columns in vertical view, with the option to include hidden columns, but is there a way to automatically exclude printing blank columns? I have columns that don't apply to all rows, so when printing there are blank lines.  I could send the line in an email and select which columns to include, then print the email.  But the same columns aren't blank and it would be tedious to figure out and select each column for every line.

Jacob I like your methodology in sending it as an update Request because that presents the detail chosen in a Row in vertical format, but I really cannot think of any way of excluding blank cells automatically. However....

What you could try out...  is by using a Report to produce the secected data, which could deselect those rows with blanks in certain cells, then do an Update Request Email from there and edit the columns the receiver will see.

    Could that work for you?

    Hope that Helps

    Richard,

That's a good suggestion, thank you.  The only problem I will probably run into is that not all rows have the same blank columns. This will mean that the report itself may need to be modified several times.

  • Hi Jacob—we don't have a way to exclude blank cells from print, but I'll get your vote down for this on our enhancement request list for further consideration by our Product team, thanks!
