I would ike to use the Reporting feature so my Smartsheet can also be the Agenda for meetings - eliminates double work - how can i have the Discussion text show on the report?

  • If you send the report as an attachment to yourself as a PDF, you can choose to include the discussions under the options

Discussions can be accessed in a report the same way they are in sheets - through the Discussions column. If you do not see the Discussions column then it may have been hidden. Right click on any column header and select Unhide All Columns.

I know this is an old thread and I was wondering about the status of this functionality in the current version of Smartsheet?

Just upgraded to get the report functionality and use as the author of this thread describes his needs.

How do I create a report and in the report show the discussions? I agree that this would be a good way to keep a meeting protocol going during a project with weekly meetings.

Use the gannt view during meetings, add meeting comments as disscussions and then create a report based on this. One would get the timestamps on comments and a possibility to keep track of comments in threaded replies.

And since its a question regarding the report functionality, why is the column named "Task name" in the gannt view called "Primary" in the report view?

  • Mattias - have you figured this out yet? I am working on the same thing.

Nope, I got too much work to do to spend time on this atm...

Trying Smartsheet in a real project right now and there are some other speed bumps in the application to sort out...
