I understand that by submitting a "Product Enhancement Request" it doesn't mean it will be actioned and even if it is, will materialize in the immediate future. I think that rather than it them seemingly disappear down a 'black hole' a published list and the status of requests would be useful.

Hello Tim,

Thanks so much for this comment.  This is a really good question.

We typically communicate about new or improved features once they've been released. Depending on the nature of the changes, we announce through email, in-product messaging, or via announcements on the Smartsheet Community(https://community.smartsheet.com) website.

At any time, you can see a list of past updates in our Release Notes(https://www.smartsheet.com/release-notes) on the Smartsheet website.

If you'd like to help us further improve Smartsheet with ideas on how Smartsheet could be further improved, or have other users vote for a certain functionality, please contact us here: https://app.smartsheet.com/b/form?EQBCT=739aa75f30ca43a8a22eb53e4da7d409

If possible provide as detailed information as possible about your feature enhancement request, including how you use Smartsheet, and how your request would save you time.

Please let me know if you have further questions on this.

Kind Regards,

Alison

Yeah, they used to do that. But their Agile process doesn't allow publishing what is "up and coming." They most likely need the flexibility to change direction at any point. It would be nice to at least see product enhancements lists of things preparing to be released. But alas, no.

I do not believe it has anything to do with their development process, other than how the priorities are perhaps defined. I believe it is more a marketing/competition decision based on several factors:

1. disappointment from users when priorities change

2. lack of heads up to competition on what is being prioritized

I could go on (and on), but it is what it is.
