When Scanning a Bar Code can it update inventory on the sheet

I wanted to know if there is a way to have inventory get updated either when something is restocked or taken from stock to automatically update the inventory levels when a bar code is scanned or does this need to be done manually?

Depends on how your system is setup.

If each transaction is a row, then yes - you could count the sales and purchases and keep a running total of the sum.

I have it setup where each item is a row however it just for when inventory comes in and goes out of our warehouse. Is there a formula or something that would work better?
