Who did what and when? - users stats

Hi, 

In this time where management wants more hard evidence, as admin I also get more questions on how our organisation is using Smartsheet. Basically they are asking me: Who is doing what and when ... (and is it worth to continue the system)

I find it hard to answer these questions - maybe I overlook possibilities that exist. Please let me know if I do.

What I want to know mainly: 

  • When did users logon and how long? 
  • Periodic overviews of changes on the system - specified by user, date and nature of the change. 
  • Periodic overviews of the documents (and other files) that were uploaded to each sheet, by who and when. 
  • Who looked at what sheet and when. 

 There is more, but if I could just have this, I will be very happy.

    Well, you can see the number of logins under Account > Account Admin > Login History. You can download the past 6 months worth of logins and determine the frequency of user login there. 

    As far as time on task and length of time using Smartsheets... If you have a business or enterprise account, you might be able to glean data from the activity log. It reports out all of the activity on a particular sheet. Perhaps gathering this data from all your sheets will help determine the information you need. 

    I wonder if support can provide you with some data as well. You might try contacting support to see if they can help with that.
